Microsoft In Big Tablet Win With Royal Caribbean

Redmond-based Microsoft has scored a big, tablet computing win with cruise line Royal Caribbean Cruises International, saying today that the cruise line will provide 40,000 Windows-based tablets to its crew members. Microsoft said the tablets--from HEXA--will run Windows 8.1. The 8-inch tablets will feature Bing, Skype, Office 365, and OneDrive, and will help Royal Caribbean's crew keep up to date with family and friends while away from home. Financial impact of the win was not announced.
