iovation Inks Central American Distribution Deal With Equifax

Portland-based iovation, the provider of online fraud prevention technology, says it is teaming up with Equifax to distribute its products in Central America. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Equifax, one of the major consumer credit reporting agencies, said it is aiming at helping companies reduce what is an estimated $430M in fraud in Latin America. iovation uses device identification to help flag suspicious customers for banks, ecommerce, social networking, insurance, and other companies, by using prior transactions of those devices through its network.
