Adaptive Biotechnologies Names CTO
Seattle-based Adaptive Biotechnologies, which is using gene sequencing technology for clinical diagnostics, said today that it has named Sean Nolan as the company's Chief Technology OFficer. Nolan is a veteran of Microsoft, where he spent thirteen years. Adaptive Biotechnologies said Nolan was most recently Microsoft's General Manager and Distinguished Engineer for HealthVault and the Health Solutions Group. Adaptive Biotechnologies is focused on using sequencing of T-Cell and B-CEll Receptors for characterizing a patient's immune system, to improve diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of cancer patients. The new hiring comes shortly after a gigantic, $105M funding round for the startup announced in April.
