Expedia.com Starts Accepting Bitcoin

Bellevue-based online travel site Expedia.com said this morning that it will begin accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment, for hotel purchases. According to Expedia, it has linked up with Bitcoin payment processor Coinbase on the support, which lets users of the virtual currency book and pay for hotels using the currency. Bitcoin will be offered as an option for payment at check-out in addition to more traditional payment forms like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and PayPal.
