RealNetworks Expands In Eastern Europe With Acquisition

Seattle-based RealNetworks is expanding out its development offices today, saying that it has opened up an office in Zagreb, Croatia. The new office comes as part of the acquisition of Five Minutes, a Zagreb company which develops mobile applications. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. RealNetworks said the Croatian team had already been working on RealPlayer Cloud, providing support for upgrades and platform upgrades. The company says it nos has ten locations in Europe, including offices in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom.
