Lovell Takes Startup Role At City of Seattle
Seattle technology insider Rebecca Lovell has taken a new post overseeing Seattle's startup outreach efforts, and is now Startup Liason for the City of Seattle, the city's Ofice of Economic Developent said Thursday. Lovell is a familiar face in Seattle's technology scene, having most recently headed up the Northwest Entrepreneur Network (NWEN). Lovell also was Chief Business Officer of technology news site GeekWire, and also was at the Alliance of Angels. She also is a mentor at TechStars Seattle and the Founders Institute, and also teaches at the University of Washington. Lovell says her job is to measure and promote the impact of tech startups on the SEattle economy, foster startup communities, expand opportunities in technology, and more.
