Atigeo Ties With Healthcare IT Software Developer

Bellevue-based Atigeo, which is developing big data analytics software for the healthcare industry, reported a win today with IT software provider Medsphere SYstems. According to the two, they will integrate Atigeo's software within MedSphere's electronic health record (EHR) products. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The two said Aitgeo's xPatterns coding module will help with providing accurate clinical coding, which will help hospitals to accurately track all tests and procedures, as well as for billing. Healthcare coding is the process of assigning a numeric, standardized code to medical tests and procedures, which is a key part of healthcare billing and electronic health records efforts.
