RealNetworks RealPlayer Cloud Aims At Video Sharing Across Devices
One upon a time, if you wanted to stream video from the Internet, you had one choice: RealPlayer, the video streaming software from Seattle's RealNetworks. In a bid to regain its role in the glory days of RealPlayer, RealNetworks announced late last night that it has launched a new, cloud-based video player, RealPlayer Cloud, which will let users watch, share, and save videos on their devices--including Android, iPhone, iPad, PC, Web and Roku devices. RealNetworks said that RealPlayer Cloud will be available for free, and comes with two gigabytes of cloud storage; RealNewtorks will offer up additional storage for $4.99 a month.
