ExtraHop Launches Free Appliance Version

Seattle-based IT operations software developer ExtraHop is making it easier for its potential IT customers to try out it software, with a new, free appliance version. The company said it has launched a new, virtual appliance called the ExtraHop Discovery Edition, which will let customers try out its It operations analytics product. The company said the appliance runs under VMware's free hypervisor, and can provide protocol analysis on NAS and iSCSI for storage, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, Informix, and Postgres for database. The company said the software will give "every organization" the ability to use its software.
