Simple Hits 40,000 Customers

Portland-based mobile banking provider Simple reported today that it is now processing over $1 billion in transactions per year, and has had more than 250,000 people request an invite to the service. The startup--which is developing a mobile focused, banking service--said that it now has more than 40,000 customers across the U.S. Simple's online and mobile banking service was founded one year ago. The stats on the customers and transactions came as part of a blog post on the company's anniversary.
