Parallels: Plesk Panel 11 Hits 120,000 Servers

Renton, Washington-based Parallels has long been known for its desktop virtualization tools. However, in recent years, the firm's software for managing web hosting deployment, Parallels Plesk, has actually become a huge chunk of its business. Parallels said this week that its Parallels Plesk Panels 11 software has already been deployed to more than 120,000 servers, and is being used by more than 400 professional hosting firms since earlier this year. Parallels Plesk is used by those companies to automatically create and configure virtual servers. The software is particularly popular for supporting small and medium sized business hosting. Parallel said the release is its fastest growing panel product in its history.
