Nimia Gets $500K For Professional Digital Video Marketplace
Seattle-based Nimia said this morning that it has raised $500,000 in a seed funding round, for its online video marketplace. The startup said it provides premium cinematography which it licenses to brands and producers, such as ESPN, Red Bull, National Geographic, ABC, and more. The firm's investors include former RealNetworks CEO and Brightcove SVP Thomas Nielsen, and the firm was co-founded by Zach McIntosh. Nimia's content is all professionally produced, and offered up via licenses for web, resale, perpetual, and extended license. More information »
