Meridian Apps Acquired By Aruba Networks

Portland-based indoor wi-fi location technology developer Meridian Apps has been acquired by Aruba Networks, Aruba announced last week. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Aruba said the buy will enable new location-based services. Meridian's technology overcomes issues with GPS wayfinding, which does not work well, if at all, indoors, by using Wi-Fi information. Meridian was venture backed by the Bellingham Angels and the Oregon Angel Fund.
