Itron Gets Win Close To Home, In Olympia

Liberty Lake-based Itron's smart utility meters are used all across the world: the firm has announced deals recently in South America, Poland, South Africa, and Russia. But the company's latest customer win is much closer to home: the City of Olympia. Itron said that Olympia is using the firm's smart water meters, to help serve that city's 59,000 people. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Olympia is using Itron's meters to get better water usage data, to help improve water conservation programs and find water leaks.
