Wavii Confirms Google Acquisition

Seattle-based natural language processing software developer Wavii has confirmed its acquisition by Google, the firm announced this morning on its web site. Wavii said that it will no longer continue to offer its service, but will by applying its research at Google. Wavii developed a service which summarized and aggregated news in an easy-to-digest format. Financial aspects of the acquisition have not been announced by the companies, but have been pegged at somewhere around $30M.
