Decide.com Pockets $8M More
Seattle-based products comparison and prediction startup Decide.com has pocketed $8M more in funding, in a new round of venture capital led by Vulcan Capital, the firm said this morning. The new funding round also included prior investors Maveron and Madrona Venture Group. As part of the funding, Steve Hall of Vulcan and Dawn Lepore (formerly CEO of Drugstore.com) have joined the company's board of directors. Decide.com helps consumers decide when to purchase electronics and other items, by tracking and predicting pricing changes. The firm was co-founded by computer science maven Oren Etzioni, who has been instrumental in a number of Seattle's successful computer science startups (Go2Net/Infospace, Netbot/Excite, MetaCrawler, Farecast, etc.). The company's CEO is Mike Fridgen, also previously at Farecast. More information »
