Microsoft's Outlook.com, Hotmail Go Down For 15 Hours
In a not-so-auspicious start for Microsoft's transition of Hotmail to Outlook.com, the email service went down for over 15 hours on Tuesday, locking users out of the system for more than half a day. According to Microsoft's status page, Outlook.com's email services ran into issues Tuesday at 2:35P.M., with the problem not being resolved until 5:43AM this morning PDT. Microsoft only officially launched its newly branded Outlook.com service three weeks ago, replacing Hotmail.com with a new interface and features. Microsoft did not provide details on what caused the extended email service outage.
