ModuMetal Raises $4.73M
Seattle-based ModuMetal, a developer of advanced materials and coatings, has raised $4.73M in a funding, part of a $19.2M round the firm is raising, according to a regulatory filing. The funding apparently comes from Second Avenue Partners, Catamount Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures, and others. Details of the funding have not bene announced, however, a report says that so far, $10M in commitments have been received for the round. Modumetal's nanolaminated coatings are being used in such applications as combat armor, protecting structures, for corrosion resistance, and other applications. More information »
