Big Fish Launches Free-to-Play Games
Seattle-based Big Fish, the casual game developer, said it is making a push in the free-to-play business, by offering in-browser and downloadable free-to-play games. Big Fish said that the new, free-to-play games will complement its existing catalog of premium casual games. The first title in the free-to-play category will be Big Fish Casino. The shift to offer free-to-play games comes as the gaming market has increasingly shifted towards mobile and free-to-play titles. Big Fish said it expects the move to free-to-play will grow like its mobile business has' Big Fish said that it has more than doubled its offerings in the mobile space over the past year.
