Microsoft Launching Xbox Music Streaming Service
Microsoft said this morning that it is launching a new, online streaming music service called Xbox Music, which will allow users to both stream and download music tracks in MP3 format. The new service--which will be available both on Xbox 360 and Windows 8--will include cloud storage, social music, and other features. Microsoft said the new service will free, with unlimited streaming for the first six months and limited hours after those six months; a premium subscription will give user unlimited access after that time. Pricing on the new service was not disclosed.
