Opscode Debuts OpenStack Tools
Seattle-based Opscode, the developer of cloud infrastructure automation tools, said today that it is delivering a set of tools for automating delivery of apps in the new OpenStack platform. OpenStack is an open cloud computing platform which competes with Amazon's Web Services, allowing any Internet service provider to offer up interchangeable, interoperable cloud hosting services. Opscode said its has launched Chef for Openstack, which provides centralized, tools, code, and instructions for creating and automating the deployment and management of applications on OpenStack.
