Amazon.com Spars With Apple On App Store Term

Seattle-based online retailer Amazon.com is continuing to battle Apple over its use of the term "app store". According to a legal filing on Wednesday by Amazon.com, it has asked a federal court to grant summary judgement on a claim that the use of "app store" by the company is not false advertising. The two have been trading legal actions since Apple filed suit in March of last year against Amazon for use of the term in its own mobile app efforts. Apple has been trying to reserve the term "Appstore" as a trademark.
