Amazon: Kindle-Exclusive Books Downloaded 100M Times
Seattle-based Amazon.com said today that the Kindle-exclusive titles in its online store, have now been downloaded over 100 million times. The count includes books purchased, downloaded, or borrowed from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library. Amazon said it now has more than 180,000 of the Kindle exclusive titles, those books only available on the Kindle store. Amazon did not give a breakdown of purchases versus borrowing of those books. Amazon gives better royalties to authors who decide to provide their books exclusively through the Kindle, via its KDP Select program.
