Amazon Ties Into Massively Multiplayer Games
In a second, major move in the game market this week, Amazon.com said today that it has launched a new service called Game Connect, a service which will help its customers find and play massively multilayer, online games. The company said Game Connect will feature a selection of free-to-play games, which can be access directly from Amazon product pages. The new center also will allow users to purchase subscription and virtual goods from Amazon. The move comes just a day after Amazon launched its GameCircle gaming service and related APIs for the Kindle Fire, to help developers include features such as leader boards and other features.
