Evri Spinout SportStream Raises $3.5M From Vulcan

A new spinout of Seattle-based Evri, focused on providing a "second screen" for sports fans on tablet PCs, has raised $3.5M in funding from Vulcan Capital. SportStream, headed by Will Hunsinger, announced the funding round Thursday saying it will provide a "true second-screen" experience for sports fans, while they are watching live sports. The new social site allows users to chat, follow friends, view social media streams, and more all tied into live sports games as they are occurring. Will Hunsinger heads up the new company.
