Zillow Gives Promises To MLS, Brokers

Seattle-based real estate site Zillow said this morning that it has launched a "Zillow Partnership Platform"--a list of principles that outline the firm's commitment to help the company work better with multiple listing services and brokers. Zillow said it pledges include promising never to re-syndicate, redistribute, or sub-license listings; honoring all intellectual property rights; allowing MLS or brokers to update active listings and remove stale information as frequently as allowed; and more. Zillow did not say why it decided to roll out the list of commitments to brokers, but said it is applying the list of principles to all renewal and future MLS abd broker contracts.
