Seattle-based SpaceCurve, the venture backed developer of big data software for the location-based information market, said today that it has bolstered its development team. The firm said it has hired Charlie Barbour as its new Senior Vice President of Development. Barbour was previously at Microsoft, where he was working on that firm's Amalga Life Science product. He also has served at Rosetta Biosoftware and TRADOS. Founder Andrew Rogers continues on as CTO of the company. SpaceCurve recently announced a new, $2.7M funding round in February from Reed Elsevier Ventures, Divergent Ventures, and Musea Ventures.
