Nokia, Microsoft Invest $23.8M In Mobile App Efforts In Finland
Nokia and Microsoft are investing $23.8M (18 million euros) in an effort to boost mobile app development in Finland, the two announced this morning. According to the two, they will each invest up to 9 million euros in developing the AppCampus mobile application development program at Aalto University during the next three years. The two said it intends to attract "thousands" of application proposals from students and entrepreneurs as part of the AppCampus effort, which Microsoft said it hopes will create innovative new mobile apps and services for Windows Phone Marketplace.
