Puppet Labs Gets Backing of VMware, Google, and Cisco

Portland-based Puppet Labs, the developer of open source systems and server administration software, said today that VMware, Google, and Cisco have backed the firm in an $8.5M, Series C funding round. The round also included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, True Ventures, and Radar Partners, as well as Tripwire founder Gene Kim. Puppet Labs said it will use the new funding to further develop its products. Puppet Labs' products are used for IT management. More information »
