Ignition Ventures Into Parse

Seattle-based Ignition Partners, in a busy week investing in Silicon Valley companies, has led an investment in San Francisco-based Parse, which develops mobile backend software. Parse announced Wednesday that it raised $5.5M in a funding round from Ignition Partners, led by John Connors. Connors joins the company's board. Parse develops software which makes it easier for mobile app developers to save their application data, handle push notifications, and handle users. Ignition was the lead investor on another, Silicon Valley company this week--Cloudera--which announced $40M in funding earlier this week.
