Startup Weekend Links With Kauffman Foundation

Seattle-based Startup Weekend, the group which runs a series of events which spurs people to create an entire startup from scratch, just over a weekend, has linked with entrepreneurial nonprofit the Kauffman Foundation. According to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Startup Weekend is now an affiliate of the foundation, in a bid to expand the geographical reach of the events. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however, Startup Weekend now bills itself as "powered by the Kuaffman Foundation" and Kauffman said that having Startup Weekend "inside" the group will help scale and expand the events.
