Amazon Expands PBS Programming
Seattle-based Amazon has inked a deal to bring more PBS television programming to its Amazon Prime and Kindle Fire customers, the company announced today. Amazon said it has expanded an existing licensing agreement with PBS Distribution, which will bring Julia Child, NOVA, Masterpiece, Ken Burns, and other PBS titles to the video streaming services. Amazon said the move will brings the total number of its Prime instant videos to 12,000. Financial details of the new agreement were not announced. Other titles covered by the deal include Antiques Roadshow, Burns' The Civil War and The National Parks: America's Best Idea; and The French Chef with Julia Child.
