iovation Trumpets Fraud Prevention Success
Portland-based Iovation is trumpeting its success in cutting the fraud losses of an online retailer by $1.8M. The firm--which did not identify the online retailer--said its device reputation service was used by an online retailer to fight fraudulent orders, replacing a previously manual fraud prevention effort. The company said it created a white paper on the wins. Iovation operates a service which uses the identification of laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, and others and attempts to identify if those devices have been involved in prior fraud, chargebacks, identity theft, or other issues with other vendors, to flag high risk activity.
