Hivemyne Acquires AskMe In Buyout

Seattle-based Hivemyne, a new startup focused on social business products, said yesterday that it has acquired AskMe, the former Seattle startup developer of social business software, from parent firm Realcom. Realcom acquired AskMe in 2008. Hivemyne was specifically formed by Realcom's U.S. executives to pursue a management buyout of AskMe. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. HiveMyne is led by Peter Holland.
