Pirq Takes On Daily Deals
Kirkland-based Pirq, the newest startup of James Sun, said today that it will be launcing a new, smart phone application and service to help consumers sort out the daily deals landscape. Sun--who rose to fame via his appearance on "The Apprentice"--said the service is initially focusing on restaurants, and will allow those restaurants to control the deals they offer during both peak and off-peak hours. Pirq said it is launching in Seattle in mid-July, and will offer 20 to 50 percent off their dining bills at local restaurants. The new service said it will be available on both iPhone and Android smartphones. Pirq is planning on expanding to ten cities over the next 12-18 months.
