Intellicheck Mobilisa Gets Patent
Port Townsend, Washington-based Intellicheck Mobilisa, the developer of digital identification technology, said today that it has received a US Patent. The firm said that it received U.S. Patent No. 7,899,751, bringing it to a total of 9 U.S. patents, 2 Canadian patents, and 1 European patent. According to the U.S. PTO, the patent was granted on March 1st to Kevin M. Messina, and was originally filed on January 12, 2009, as a continuation of a string of patent filings linked back to a July, 1996 patent from the firm. Intellicheck Mobilisa was represented by Perkins Coie LLP in the filing. Intellicheck Mobilisa's technology is used for such things as validating driver's licenses.
