Itron Wins BC Hydro

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, the maker of smart utility meters, reported today that BC Hydro, the provider of hydroelectric energy for British Columbia, has selcted its electric meters. Itron said it will supply BC Hydro with approximately two million new electric meters over the next two years, as part of a smart metering program. Itron said the contract is worth approximately $270M.
