Expedia, American Back Together

Bellevue-based travel website Expedia and American Airlines said Monday afternoon that they have reached a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which will result in American's fares being listed again on Expedia. No details of the MOU were released, however, the firms said that access to fares and schedules for American Airlines and American Eagle have been restored, on both Expedia and Hotwire. Expedia said it will continue to source that information from a global distribution system (GDS), rather than through American's direct link. Expedia dropped carrying American's fares in January, following a spat between the firms over American's insistence on bypassing GDS providers.
