Zapd Launches iPhone Website Creation Tool

Seattle-based Pressplane, the newest startup headed by Kelly Smith of Curious Office, has officially launched, saying Monday that it has launched Zapd, a new mobile application for creating websites from the iPhone. The new app--which is free--is available on Apple iTunes. The new application allows to pick website themes from the iPhone, selected photos to include on that site, and instantly create a new site they can share via Facebook, Twitter, and email. The new application is supported by graphic designs and themes from designers at Smith's startup, Inkd. Pressplane said that the Zapd service will soon allow users to purchase a domain of their own choice, additional theme packs, and widgets for the websites created with the tool.
