ClearEdge Power Gets $1M Investment From Gas Utility
Hillsboro, Oregon-based ClearEdge Power, which develops fuel cell energy equipment, has scored $1M in an investment from a gas utility. According to utility Southern California Gas Co., it made the investment in ClearEdge as a "strategic addition" to its clean energy portfolio. Southern California Gas supplies natural gas to around 20.9 million customers in Southern California, covering around 20,000 square miles; the firm is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy. ClearEdge is a maker of fuel cell equipment, which is installed into homes to convert natural gas into both electricity and heat. More information »
