Widevine Acquired By Google
Seattle-based Widevine, a developer of digital rights management (DRM) software, said late Friday that it is being acquired by Google. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Brian Baker, CEO of Widevine, said in a statement that "By working with Google, we are even further committed to the consumer Internet video experience and to the needs of content owners."
