WildTangent Games Exits Beta

Redmond-based WildTangent said Tuesday that it has officially launched Wildtangent Games, its new online game service, after a three month beta period. The game service allows users to rent games online, allowing users to purchase game play time for various online games, or to purchase games outright. WildTangent compared the rental model to the way consumers are now watching movies, saying that it "makes perfect sense" to rent online games as well. Titles included in the service include everything from casual games like Bejeweled to titles like Ubisoft's Splinter Cell and Capcom's Dead Rising.
