Hulu To Open Seattle Office

Hulu, the online video streaming site with the backing of major television networks, said Thursday that it is planning to open up a new Development Center in Seattle. According to the company, it hopes ot have the office open by the end of the year, to take advantage of Seattle's talented software engineers. In a blog post, VP of Platform Technology Richard Tom said that nearly fifty percent of its current developers in Los Angeles were originally from Seattle, working on enterprise database servers, operating systems and web frameworks. The firm did not say how many it plans to hire in the location, however, Tom is located in the area. Hulu said its new Seattle office will work with its development teams in Los Angeles and Beijing.
