F5 Names Board Member

Seattle-based F5 Networks, a provider of load balancing and other networking hardware, said this morning that it has added John Chapple, President of Hawkeye Investments, to its board. Chapple also sits on the boards of Leap Wireless, CBeyond, SeaMobile, and Telesphere, and previously served at Nextel, McCaw Cellular, AT&T Wireless, and other firms. He also is involved with private equity firm Diamond Castle Holdings, and is on the Visiting Committee at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at University of Washington. F5's John McAdam said that the firm believes Chapple's "deep understanding" of the wireless carrier market will help the firm deliver increased value to service providers and others.
