Centri Takes On Mobile Congestion With New Funding
Seattle-based Centri, headed by Vaughan Emery, said this week that it has launched a new effort to bring network acceleration technology to market, to help ease mobile network congestion caused by smart phones. According to Centri Technology, it has raised additional financing from the Alliance of Angels to expand its product development. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Among the investors involved in the firm are Alliance of Angels Chairman Dan Rosen, who formerly worked at AT&T and Microsoft; and Robert Strickland, President of Atigeo and former exec at T-Mobile. The firm said, as part of the funding, it has added Mike Mackey as VP of Engineering and Ross Rosen as VP of Sales and Marketing.
