Clearwire Expands Jobs In Florida

Kirkland-based Clearwire said today that it is making a major expansion of its customer call center in Milton, Florida, as the firm continues to build out its 4G wireless network. The firm said it initially opened the call center in 2007 with 20 employees, with plans to create 300 jobs over a three year period, but reached 500 employees in 2009. The firm did not say how much larger it intends to make the facility, but said it is now the largest, single, private employer in Florida's Santa Rosa County.
