Delve Acquired By Limelight Networks
Seattle-based Delve, the developer of video management software and services, has been acquired by Limelight Networks. According to Delve, the firm's entire team will be joining Limelight Networks, as the firm's Video Platform Solutions business unit. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Delve was headed by Alex Castro, and was venture backed by DFJ Frontier, Intel Capital, and Labrador Ventures. The firm had originally been known as Pluggd, and had switched from podcast listings into the online video management and content delivery market back in 2008. Castro said, in a blog post to customers, that the Limelight's "team culture, vision, and philosophy are very similar to our own" and that the firm is "all fired up" to become part of Limelight.
