Report: Microsoft Kin Is Dead

Microsoft's recently launched Kin mobile phone is dead, less than three months after launch, according to reports, citing people close to the company. No details or confirmation have yet been released by Microsoft. Microsoft had launched its Kin phone in April, saying it was focusing on the social networking set. The phone had support features built-in to support Facebook and MySpace, and was available exclusively through Verizon, but had been widely ridiculed for limited functionality in a world of iPhones and Android smart phones.
