Amazon Chops Kindle Pricing

Seattle-based Amazon.com has cut the pricin gon its Kindle electronic book reader to $189, the firm said, down from $259, on the heels of the introduction of a Wi-Fi only version of the Nook e-book reader from Barnes and Noble. Amazon did not say why it decided to drop the price of its reader, but said it is now immediately shipping the Kindle at the lower price.
