Parallels Targets Windows 7 Migration
Renton, Washington-based Parallels, which develops virtualization and automation software, is targeting users looking to upgrade to Windows 7 with a new product. According to Parallels, it is shipping Parallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7, software which allows users of Windows XP or Vista to keep and use their existing software, even if that software is not yet compatible with Windows 7. The new software takes advantage of Parallels' virtualization software for the backward support, and also includes features to move and upgrade programs to a new Windows 7 computer.
